How do I specify location?
All services ordered through Toolboksi are delivered directly to you at the location of your choosing. Simply select your location on the map or drop the pin on your specific location when ordering the service.
How fast will my order be processed and/or how long should I expect to wait before I get a fundi?
To ensure that we connect you with the right fundi, we require up to 4 business hours to find the right fit. Our standard working hours are 7 am - 7 pm. However, if you are in urgent need of a service before 7 am or after 7 pm, we charge a fee of Tshs 25000
Why can I trust Toolboksi and who will you be sending?
We've been connecting customers to workers(fundis) since 2018. Our customer base trusts and believes in the quality of our services and our digital platform always the entire process to be transparent - you don't need to work about inexperienced workers, hassle about payments or rates, or worry about communication. We serve as the neutral intermediary and ensure all work is delivered and completed to industry standards. This means ensuring that the Pros we connect you with have a breadth of experience, are professional, trained, and certified in their craft. Once we find the right match, we will notify you of the details - name and contacts of your fundi before the service.
What locations do you service?
We currently serve most locations in Dar Es Salaam but ONLY up to the points listed below. Kinondoni District – Masaki, Oysterbay, Msasani, Kinondoni, Mikocheni, Kawe, Mbezi beach, Tegeta, Kunduchi, Boko, Mbweni, Bunju, Madale, Salasala, Mwenge, Kijitonyama, Makumbusho, Sinza, Ubungo, University road, Changanyikeni, Makongo juu.
Ilala District – City center, Upanga, Kisutu, Ilala, Muhimbili.
Temeke District – Chang’ombe.
KIgamboni – Kigamboni city center.
All locations that are not mentioned above may be booked and serviced according to the fundis on our platform.
Can I pay after?
All bookings come with a small upfront fee for an initial diagnosis of needs, which later will be deducted from the final payment. The payment for the labor can be done once he has completed the job.
Incase materials are needed; can I purchase them by myself/how do I pay for materials?
In the event that we need materials, don’t worry you can now purchase all materials from our platform under a section Hardware Store or fundi may assist you with the names of materials and get a quote from our platform. You will then receive an invoice from Toolboksi with details on how to make payment for the materials. Should you choose to purchase your own products, any liabilities shall be incurred at your own cost and risk.
Why do I need a site visit? I know what the problem is.
All jobs in this category start with an initial assessment of needs, which allows us to ensure that a quote you receive from fundi is fully accurate to your problem. Fundi can continue with the actual service right after you book his quote for the job.
Why do I need to pay for diagnosis?
We charge for diagnosis in order to pay fundis for their time and expert advice on the problem you would like resolved. The fees also cater for the fundis transport to and from your location.
What if I want to change the service I ordered?
While our Pros are flexible and maybe able to provide more than one service, we encourage you to reorder new services (when from a different category or from a different product line) through our website.
I am not happy with the quality of the service? Will I get compensated?
We are committed to ensuring the best of quality at the most affordable of prices. Should you be dissatisfied with your service we recommend that you provide feedback to our Customer Happiness team within 24 hours via email service@toolboksi.com or directly at 0652000072. We deal with each complaint on a case by case basis and offer several options for resolution e.g. free redoing of the service, Toolboksi Credit, or cash back
I am no longer available for my service, what do I do?
In the event that you need to reschedule your service, please notify our offices via email service@toolboksi.com or directly at 0652000072 as soon as possible so that we may notify fundi assigned to your job.
How many people do I get if order more than one thing?
Our pros have category specific specialties. If you order more than 1 service in the same category, you will get fundi to do all jobs. However, if you order jobs from different categories, you will get different fundis for each category of jobs.
Can I tip my fundi?
If you are satisfied with the service that you received and would like to thank the fundi, we encourage that you rate and review them at the end of the service. If you additionally choose to add a monetary tip, any money exchanged is at your discretion. Please note that any tips paid directly to fundi will not be considered as payment for any add on services or product changes during your service. You will still receive another invoice from Toolboksi for any pending and outstanding charges.
Will the fundi come with a helper?
From time to time, Fundi may come with a helper for the actual job. You will be given prior notification in case a helper is needed for your job
I want a different service from what is listed, how do I order?
As we continue to grow, we will be adding newer products to this category. Anytime a new product or category is launched, we will send a newsletter about the new offering. Follow our social media handles to find out about promotions and vouchers in the meantime.
What if Fundi does not know how to fix my problem?
If Fundi is not able to fix your problem, we will send another fundi to provide a second opinion. We will deal with each issue on a case by case basis
Is there a guarantee on materials you're using?
Toolboksi provides a 31-day guarantee on all our materials and services.
I need someone urgently and cannot wait 4 hours, what do I do?
In case you need someone urgently, make a request on the website and call 0652000072 in order to get quick assistance. To get a fundi to your place ASAP, we will charge an additional boda-boda transport fee based on your location.
Do I need to be in the house for the diagnosis or can my housekeeper let fundi in?
In order to ensure fundi is provided the full information needed to make a correct diagnosis, we advise that you are at home during the visit. This helps us to minimize any error in terms of scope of work to be covered.
